The operation was led by personnel of Police Station 9-Tugbok under Major Neil M. Vistar, station commander, following the discovery of two victims at Purok 7, New Danao and Purok 9, Sto. Tomas, both in Barangay Manambulan, on August 18 and 19, 2026.
Police immediately conducted follow-up investigations, intelligence monitoring and backtracking operations, while coordinating with residents and other community members.
Information provided by residents helped authorities identify and locate the suspect, leading to the arrest.
Authorities subsequently filed a murder case against the suspect before the City Prosecutor’s Office through inquest proceedings.
DCPO City Director Colonel Peter Bauzon Madria commended the police personnel involved in the operation, citing their prompt response and professionalism.
Madria also underscored the importance of police-community cooperation in the quick resolution of criminal cases and urged residents to report suspicious activities to authorities.
