Davao Light residential rate eases to ₱12.90 per KwH

Residential customers of Davao Light and Power Company can expect a slight decrease in their electricity rate for the latest billing period.

The utility provider said its overall residential rate for August 11 to September 10, 2026, is ₱12.90 per kilowatt-hour (kWh), lower by ₱0.19 per kWh compared with the previous rate of ₱13.09 per kWh.

Davao Light said the adjustment reflects changes in various components of the electricity bill, particularly those influenced by power supply conditions, electricity demand, and prevailing market prices.

These factors can cause electricity rates to fluctuate from one billing period to another, depending on changes in the cost of power.

The company also said it continues to implement mitigating measures approved by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) to help manage the impact of changing electricity costs on customers.

The latest rate reduction comes as Davao Light continues to monitor power supply conditions and other factors affecting the cost of electricity in the Davao area.
