Public satisfaction with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. weakened in September 2026, with his net satisfaction rating slipping to -11 from -7 in June, according to the latest survey by Social Weather Stations (SWS).

MANILA, Philippines — Public satisfaction with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. weakened in September 2026, with his net satisfaction rating slipping to -11 from -7 in June, according to the latest survey by Social Weather Stations (SWS).

The Third Quarter 2026 Social Weather Survey, conducted from September 21 to 27, found that 47% of adult Filipinos were aware of or had encountered information about Marcos’ July 27 State of the Nation Address (SONA).

Among those who had heard or read about the speech, 26% considered the President’s assessment of the country’s situation believable, while 37% said they found it unbelievable.

SWS interviewed 1,500 adults aged 18 and above through face-to-face interviews nationwide. The respondents were distributed across Balance Luzon, Metro Manila, the Visayas, and Mindanao.

The polling agency said the survey questions covered in the report were not commissioned by any outside group and were included as part of its public-service initiative.
