Lanticse said the CSWDO is scheduled to meet with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Office of Councilor Pamela Librado-Morata, chairperson of the City Council Committee on Labor, on August 20.
The meeting will focus on the workers’ current situation and identify additional forms of support that may be extended to them.
While validation is ongoing, the CSWDO will provide food packs to the affected employees, he said.
The office will also assess the workers to determine who may qualify for the city government’s Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program and other available assistance.
He said the coordination is part of the city government’s efforts to respond to the immediate needs of the affected workers.
