DCPO arrests 103 suspects in weeklong operations across Davao City

DAVAO CITY — A total of 103 individuals were arrested by the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) in a series of law enforcement operations conducted from August 23 to 29, 2026.

The operations, carried out under the leadership of City Director PCOL Peter Bauzon Madria, focused on four key areas: illegal drugs, illegal gambling, wanted persons, and loose firearms.

Police conducted 41 anti-illegal drug operations, resulting in the arrest of 42 suspects and the confiscation of 101.87 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of ₱692,716, along with 10,617.61 grams of marijuana valued at around ₱1.27 million.

Authorities also carried out 17 anti-illegal gambling operations, arresting 21 individuals, recovering ₱9,425 in alleged bet money, and filing 17 cases.

Meanwhile, 36 operations targeting wanted persons led to the arrest of 36 individuals, including 11 persons listed among the most wanted.

In its campaign against loose firearms, DCPO conducted 22 operations, resulting in three arrests and the seizure of four firearms. Police also recorded 13 surrendered and three recovered firearms, while five Oplan Katok activities were conducted and two cases were filed.

DCPO said the accomplishments demonstrate its continued efforts to maintain peace and order in Davao City while observing human rights and established police operational procedures. AnalyzingDemographic Data
