DCPO City Director Colonel Peter Bauzon Madria said the police are exhausting all available resources to identify and arrest those responsible for the series of robbery incidents in the city.
The latest incident involved a 32-year-old appliance store manager who was reportedly held up by two unidentified motorcycle-riding suspects along Davao-Bukidnon Road in Barangay Riverside, Calinan, at around 7:30 p.m.
The suspects allegedly fled with the victim's ₱50,000 in cash.
The incident followed three reported robbery-hold-up cases recorded on October 5, prompting authorities to intensify efforts to track down the suspects believed to be involved in the incidents.
The DCPO had earlier announced a ₱500,000 reward for information that could lead to the identification and arrest of the suspects involved in the robbery incidents. The suspects were reportedly operating in tandem on a motorcycle.
Following the latest incident, Madria, together with Deputy City Director for Operations Lt. Colonel Randy P. Sambalod and Calinan Police Station 10 commander Major Ian James Acal, spearheaded the investigation into the reported robbery.
Madria said the DCPO is strengthening police visibility through intensified patrols, mobilizing investigative units, and enhancing coordination with local communities and partner agencies to track down the suspects.
He assured the public that the police would continue to pursue those responsible and take necessary measures to safeguard the peace and security of Davao City. ViewCensus Data
