Davao City has advanced to the national finals of the 2026 ATOP Pearl Awards, earning recognition for its initiatives in sustainable tourism and tourism promotion.
The city is among the finalists selected from 606 entries nationwide, with 201 entries advancing across 15 award categories.
Davao City received nominations in two categories:
- Best Practices on Sustainable Tourism — KAGIKAN: The Kadayawan Cultural Village
- Best Tourism Promotions — Official Video | Kadayawan Festival 2025
The nominations highlight Davao City's efforts to preserve and promote its cultural heritage while showcasing the city's tourism destinations and celebrations to a wider audience.
The city government said the recognition reflects the collective efforts of its tourism stakeholders, cultural communities, partners, and Dabawenyos in promoting sustainable and culturally rooted tourism.
