One person died while two others were injured after a fire broke out at a residential area along Cervantes Street in Barangay 15-B, Purok 3, Davao City on Monday, September 14.
The Bureau of Fire Protection reported that the fire was first reported at around 12:09 p.m. beside Starlight Hardware. It was raised to third alarm at 12:16 p.m.
The blaze was declared under control at 1:01 p.m. and was completely extinguished at 1:33 p.m.
Initial reports showed that around 15 residential houses were totally damaged, affecting approximately 15 families or 100 individuals.
The fire affected an estimated 100-square-meter area.
The identities and conditions of the casualties have yet to be released.
The cause of the fire and estimated property damage remain under investigation.
